Once your items reach the CNFans warehouse and you approve QC, the last big decision is which line carries your haul home. CNFans lists several at checkout, each with a different price, speed and reliability, and the gap between cheapest and priciest on the same parcel is substantial. Picking well is the most effective way to keep a haul affordable.
The lines split into two families. Economy and postal options are cheap and slow — often two to four weeks — and draw less customs attention. Express couriers are fast with full door-to-door tracking but cost more and are assessed for duty more reliably. A small accessory order suits an economy line; a high-value haul you want tracked justifies express.
CNFans bills on the greater of actual or volumetric weight, the latter from parcel dimensions. A bulky-but-light haul costs more than the scale suggests. Request shoe-box removal and compression on soft goods — a single shoe box can add several hundred grams. The QC guide covers inspection before you commit to shipping.
US buyers find standard and Hong Kong lines clear smoothly; UK buyers face post-Brexit VAT on most hauls; EU buyers hit low duty-free thresholds; Canada and Australia do best on mid-tier forwarding lines. Match the line to your country's customs profile, not just the headline rate.
Confirm your warehouse inventory, request packing optimisation, compare lines for your destination, then pick by timeline and customs profile. See the spreadsheet guide for finding items and link converter for ordering, plus the full CNFans review.
CNFans shows several lines with prices for your specific parcel, so the comparison is concrete, not theoretical. Look past the headline price to the trade-offs: a line a little cheaper but much slower, or one pricier but tracked and insured. Note the estimated transit window and whether tracking is full door-to-door. For a low-value, non-urgent parcel the cheapest reasonable line wins; for anything valuable or time-sensitive, paying for tracking and speed is usually the better call. The right answer changes with the parcel.
Optimise the parcel before you even compare lines, because every line bills on volumetric weight. Request shoe-box removal and compression first, get the parcel as small as it sensibly goes, and then compare line prices against that optimised weight. Comparing lines on a bloated parcel just means overpaying on whichever line you pick. Pack tight, then shop the lines — in that order.
Matching the line to your country's customs behaviour — not just its sticker price — is what keeps a CNFans haul predictable from checkout to doorstep.
For a light, low-value parcel, an economy line keeps costs down. For a heavy or valuable haul you want tracked and insured, an express line is worth the premium. Match the line to the parcel and your destination, not habit.
It depends on your country and the declared value. The UK and EU tax most hauls; the US has historically higher thresholds but they change; Canada and Australia sit in between. Always budget a customs allowance rather than assuming it won't apply.
Each separate parcel pays its own base international charge. Combining several items into one shipment pays that charge once, which is usually the single biggest saving on a haul.
